Tuesday work when Zoe was away

The image shows the main character in the centre of the frame, showing he is the main character. We can see he is of a young age and is showing a an offence gesture. He is swearing towards the camera showing that he is rude, and a typical steroytyped teenager, but younger, showing hes trying to act older, because he has older friends as we can see in the back of the image. He is wearing a Ben Sherman shirt and braces and has a skin head which shows he follows the skin head subculture. In the background we can see what we presume to be his friends. They all are also part of the skinhead subcuturle as we can see they are all wearing similar things to the main character. Dr Martens, skin heads, Ben shermans and the females have the haircuts of where their heads are shaved and they just leave the fringe. The picture has negative connations showing them in a bad way, from the way there body language is and the expressions on their faces. Also because the way the main character is shown.

This image shows the group of friends similar to the This Is England image all stood leaning up against something, side by side. It shows there subculture from the way their dressed, Mods. Also because of The Who sign in the ‘Q’ of Quadprophenia. The image is black and white with the titles in colour making them stand out more.

Skin Head subculture

A skin head is a member of a youth culture that originated among working class youths in the UK in the 1960's.
Some skin heads differed as some were part of a group, a racsist group, and ones were against racsism.
Skin heads generally all wore Dr Martens.
Skin heads also wore brands such as, Ben Sherman, the famous Harrignton jackets and Fred Perry and Brutus. They also wore polo tops from these brands.
The first skin heads were greatly influenced by West Indian, specifically Jamaican, rude boys and British mods, interms of fashion, music and lifestyle.
